This year, “An evening of Chinese Culture 2010” will be held in conjunction with NBA New Jersey Nets basketball game on Feb 21st in IZOD Center, NJ.  We would like to assist you to raise fund to show our support to Choate, upon your participation of the event.

 “An Evening of Chinese Culture” is the biggest annual Chinese culture promotion event in New Jersey and New York City area. “An evening of Chinese Culture 2010” will present traditional Chinese cultural performances, including lion and dragon dance, Chinese red silk dance, solo, Beijing Opera, and acrobatics during pre-game, post-game and half-time. There will also be a dragon dotting ceremony prior to the opening ceremony.

 “An Evening of Chinese Culture” was a great success last year. With a full audience of 20,000 in the Izod Center and participation of over 100 Chinese organizations from NY, NJ, CT, and PA, the event was delivered to more than 80,000,000 viewers worldwide. This year, over 50 major print, news and electronic media outlets are going to cover this event, reaching out to a projected audience of 100 Million. “An Evening of Chinese Culture” has become the largest and most influential Lunar New Year celebration in the east coast area open to everyone.

“中華之夜”是美東地區規模最大，影響力最強的華人春節聯歡盛典。屆時將會有中美兩國著名藝術家連袂演出，以及新澤西籃網隊(NETS)和孟菲斯灰熊隊（GRIZZLIES）的精彩對抗賽，為現場以及電視機前的觀眾奉獻上一場精美絕倫的文化盛宴。盛大恢宏的舞龍舞獅，氣勢非凡的中國功夫，國粹經典之京劇選段，目不暇接的雜技表演，加上動感非凡的籃網啦啦隊舞蹈，以及中國明星球員易建聯帶領的籃網隊扣人心弦的籃球比賽，穿插著兩岸三地的專業藝術家精彩紛呈的文化藝術演出，相信將給觀眾帶來中西合璧的視聽享受。

 

去年的“中華之夜”活動獲得了巨大的成功，並在大紐約華人社區乃至整個美東地區都引起了巨大的反響。能夠容納兩萬名觀眾的IZOD CENTER座無虛席，世界各地的八千余萬名觀眾通過電視，廣播，報紙，或是互聯網目睹了這一規模空前的文化盛事。今年的中華之夜活動預計將覆蓋至一億余名觀眾。兩岸三地共五十多家主流媒體將參與宣傳和報導.“中華之夜”活動不僅能夠在美國弘揚偉大的中華傳統文化，更能夠推動並鞏固美國多元民族間的和諧與情誼， 增進中美兩國人民間的理解與尊重，為促進中美友好關係發揮重要的積極作用。
